How to get a better result

  • Write a sentence, not a job title. “Grounds maintenance and landscaping: grass cutting, tree surgery, hedge cutting and winter gritting” beats “landscaping”. The scorer weights distinctive words, so it needs a few of them.
  • Name the things you actually deliver. Equipment, materials and specific services carry far more signal than words like “solutions”, “services” or “provision”, which appear in almost every notice and are discounted automatically.
  • Use exclusions for recurring false positives. Open Filters and add terms like “asbestos” or “manned guarding” to drop whole categories you never bid on.
