Tendercast

Where the data comes from

Every notice on Tendercast is published by a government or intergovernmental body under an explicit reuse licence. None of these feeds requires an API key, an account, or agreeing to terms that restrict commercial use — which is deliberate. A data business whose upstream can revoke access is not a business.

How we behave as a client

  • Requests carry a descriptive User-Agent with a contact address, so any publisher can reach us rather than silently blocking.
  • Sources are polled sequentially on a slow cycle, never in parallel bursts, and back off on 429 and 5xx responses.
  • Only logged-out, publicly accessible endpoints are used. We do not create accounts, accept terms, or defeat rate limits.
  • Notices link back to the official record, which stays the authoritative source for anyone actually bidding.
