Bwrdd Partneriaeth Rhanbarthol Plant Gogledd Cymru: Adolygiad Gwasanaethau Plant./ North Wales Children's Regional Partnership Board: Childrens Service Review.

Cyngor Sir Ddinbych / Denbighshire County Council

Scope as published

Ar gyfer unigolyn, neu unigolion, neu sefydliad â phrofiad addas a staff sydd â chymhwyster / cymwysterau proffesiynol perthnasol (“yr Ymgynghorydd” / “yr Ymgynghorwyr” / “yr Ymgynghoriaeth”) i ymgymryd ag adolygiad o Wasanaethau Plant yng Ngogledd Cymru. Yng Nghymru, nodwyd effaith pandemig COVID-19 ar iechyd meddwl plant a phobl ifanc fel blaenoriaeth gan y Comisiynydd Plant yn ei adroddiad ‘Coronafeirws a Fi’ ac fel rhan o Gynlluniau Ail-greu ar ôl COVID-19 gan Lywodraeth Cymru. Mae iechyd meddwl yn faes eang, ond mae pwysigrwydd cefnogaeth effeithiol ar gyfer argyfwng iechyd meddwl i blant a phobl ifanc wedi cael ei amlinellu yn ‘Strategaeth Iechyd Meddwl a Lles 2025 i 2035’, ac ‘Atal hunanladdiad a hunan-niweidio: strategaeth a chynllun cyflawni’ i Gymru. Yn y 6 Awdurdod Lleol a’r Bwrdd Iechyd (Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Betsi Cadwaladr) yng Ngogledd Cymru, gwelwyd cynnydd yn nifer yr atgyfeiriadau, ond hefyd yn eu cymhlethdod oherwydd y trawma mae plant a phobl ifanc wedi’i gael. Yn 2024, amlygodd adroddiad ar y cyd gan y cyrff Arolygu Iechyd, Gofal ac Addysg bod angen gwelliannau mewn cefnogaeth iechyd meddwl i blant a phobl ifanc. For an individual, or individuals, or organisation with suitable experience and staff, holding relevant professional qualification(s) to undertake a review of Childrens Services in North Wales. In Wales, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children and young people’s mental health has been identified as a priority by the Children’s Commissioner in her ‘Coronavirus and Me[JW1.1]’ report and as part of the Welsh Government COVID-19 Reconstruction Plans. Mental health is a broad area, but the importance of effective mental health crisis support for children and young people has been outlined in both the ‘Mental health and wellbeing strategy 2025 to 2035’, and the ‘Suicide prevention and self-harm: strategy and delivery plan’ for Wales. Across the 6 Local Authorities and in the Health Board (Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board) in North Wales we have seen an increase in volume of referrals but also the complexity due to the trauma that children and young people have experienced. In 2024 a joint report by the Health, Care, and Education Inspectorates in Wales highlights the need for improvements in mental health support for children and young people.
