Please note that this is not a call for competition. This is a soft market testing exercise is undertaken on behalf of Trafford Council under the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023. Purpose: Part IV of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 mandates a statutory duty on local authorities to provide safe accommodation for people fleeing domestic abuse. In Trafford we currently provide safe accommodation in the form of refuges for women, families and male survivors of domestic abuse. We also provide dispersed accommodation for some survivors when they move on from refuges. Trafford Council are undertaking this soft market testing exercise to fully understand what the market can offer and the challenges in procuring and setting up this service. It is hoped that this will be an opportunity for us to obtain an insight of how participants might approach delivery of the service, and how they might address circumstances that may impact on the service. It will also help us to further understand the market. We anticipate that should a tender exercise be undertaken, the maximum annual value for the contract might be in the region of £357,559, and the duration to be 5 years, with an initial period of 12 months with the option to extend for period(s) of up to 48 months. Border Security Command Maritime requires the provision of a specialist fuel removal, collection, transportation and disposal service for fuel recovered from vessels, engines and associated portable fuel containers recovered during Border Security Command Maritime operations. The Supplier shall safely remove, contain, transport and dispose of all collected fuel through appropriately authorised treatment, recovery or disposal routes in accordance with all applicable legislation and regulatory requirements. The Contracting Authority is seeking to establish a Light Touch Framework Agreement with a suitably qualified and experienced Supplier to co-design, develop and deliver a suite of Neurodiversity Awareness Training solutions, including: Neurodiversity Awareness Training for Managers Managers Toolkit Neurodiversity Awareness Training for Specialist Contracting Authority Functions Neurodiversity Awareness e-Learning Neurodiversity Champions Training Train the Trainer The training programme shall be informed by best practice, current legislation, NHS workforce requirements and the Contracting Authority's commitment to creating an inclusive and neuro-affirmative working environment. The objective of this procurement is: • Improve awareness and understanding of neurodiversity across the Authority. • Equip managers and leaders with the knowledge and skills required to effectively support neurodivergent colleagues. • Promote neuro-inclusive leadership, communication and workplace practices. • Improve employee wellbeing, engagement and retention. • Support compliance with Equality Act 2010 obligations and the effective implementation of reasonable adjustments. • Reduce workplace barriers and improve organisational culture. • Provide accessible learning resources that support continuous development and awareness. The rail freight feasibility study is being commissioned to identify opportunities to increase rail‑based freight movements in North Lincolnshire. It will assess existing rail heads and sidings, explore potential new sites, review network access, evaluate commercial viability, and quantify economic, social and environmental benefits. It will provide pivotal evidence to support the future economic ambitions of North Lincolnshire and Greater Lincolnshire and strengthen the region's role as a major freight and logistics hub. This work will establish whether new or improved rail freight infrastructure is practical, beneficial, and aligned with local priorities.
The project is to deliver a feasibility study and investment-ready business case to help build the case for the reinstatement an hourly Doncaster-Scunthorpe rail service and to introduce a Sunday service operated by Northern Trains. The reinstated service is expected to slot into the existing timetable and restore key links for rural communities, improving access to jobs, education and essential services.
