Property Refurbishment - Lodge Farm Cottage, East Forest District

Scope as published

Forestry England is planning to refurbish Lodge Farm Cottage so it is fit to live in and can be rented out. We expect the work to cover general building, heating and plumbing, electrical and external works. The contractor we appoint would coordinate the works and give us the completion documents. Working is detailed in the attached outline scope but would include:- • Strip out the inside, clear the site and protect the existing building. • New kitchen and bathroom, with the plumbing and electrical changes that go with them. • New external oil boiler, changes to the heating system, a new hot water cylinder and the pipework. • Plaster repairs, better insulation, decorating inside and minor carpentry. • Electrical testing and certificates, lighting and extra power. • Drainage and groundworks outside, lime pointing, repairs to the outhouse and a new well cover. • Site welfare, security and waste removal, risk assessments and method statements, testing and commissioning, and handover information.
