Bradford Council would like to formally invite you to attend a consultation event about our new approach to the provision of emergency, nightly paid, accommodation across the Council. Emergency accommodation is used to provide temporary housing for single people, couples and families who require accommodation at short notice. While placements are typically short-term in nature, there will be occasions where accommodation is required for longer periods depending on individual circumstances and housing need. Through our Emergency Accommodation Framework, we are introducing a single, central accommodation framework through which all nightly paid, emergency accommodation provision will operate. This represents a significant change to the way accommodation services are commissioned and will have a direct impact on all current providers of emergency accommodation. Providers who wish to continue delivering emergency accommodation services to Bradford Council should engage with this process and register their interest ahead of the formal procurement launch. The event will: • Outline the proposed framework and operating model. • Explain what these changes mean for accommodation providers. • Provide an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification. • Set out how providers can register their interest and participate in the forthcoming procurement process. We are also keen to engage with new providers to the market. If you operate a hotel, bed and breakfast (B&B), serviced apartment, guest house or other suitable accommodation, we encourage you to attend and find out more about the opportunity available. Event Details Date: Monday 9th November Time: 13:00pm – 14.30pm Location: Microsoft Teams For details on how to receive an invitation link to this meeting, please register your interest on the YORtender (eu-supply) portal by searching Market Engagement for an Emergency Accommodation Framework, reference 100114719. The List will ordinarily remain open to applications on an ongoing basis. The Council at its sole discretion, may subsequently reopen the List or invite further applications at any time. The Contract does not include any guarantee of any minimum volume of services, or any minimum expenditure. Furthermore, appointment under the Contract does not constitute a commitment by the Council, or any other contracting authority to the exclusive use of the Contract or an individual supplier for such requirements. Each Provider should understand that their submission constitutes an acceptance to the Council of the terms of the Contract. The contract affords the Provider merely the opportunity to respond to an invitation from the Council for the provision of services.
