Manchester International Airport - OLE Phase 3 Works

The planned introduction of longer train services to the Airport in response to future demand growth will mean that double stacking arrangements of trains as currently used will no longer be viable. Through the project's Delivery Steering Group, Northern and TransPennine Express have carried out analysis which has identified that additional platform capacity is needed at the airport in order to realise the full benefit of longer train services serving the airport. The scheme is part of a package of proposed measures in the Manchester area that are being designed/planned to boost capacity and resilience, emanating from the Cross Manchester Capacity and Reliability Improvement Study. Improving the operation of train services in the centre of Manchester and providing further capacity at Manchester Airport station, aligns with the strategic aims of Network Rail, TfGM, TfN and the wider industry. This project in in Tranche 1 of the Manchester and North West Transformation Programme (MNTP): A remodelling of the station at Manchester Airport, specifically a platform addition or extension of multiple platforms, or provision of a new turnback facility, will be essential to accommodate the planned implementation of longer rolling stock services. The redevelopment of these platforms will enable permissive working of two 6x24m (144m) trains, in two of the four platforms at the Airport Station. This will allow for the unaltered retention of all existing TOC services both originating and terminating at the Airport Station under 'double-stacking' conditions. The scope areas for this package are as follows: - OLE Specialist Works for Manchester Airport Station Remodelling

The Lower Thames Crossing Roads, North Programme is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers with experience in reinforced concrete (FRC) and structural works. The scope is expected to include elements such as reinforced concrete foundations, abutments, retaining walls, pile caps, reinforced earth structures, bridge structures and other civil engineering works. As part of our procurement planning, we are considering a range of packaging options, including splitting the works into multiple packages. Through this PQQ, we are looking to better understand the market's capability, capacity and preferred delivery models to help inform the final procurement strategy. What We're Looking For We would like to hear from organisations with experience in one or more of the following: Reinforced concrete foundations Reinforced concrete abutments Reinforced concrete retaining walls Reinforced earth structures Pile caps and substructures Bridge and highway structures Structural concrete works Civil engineering and infrastructure projects Design, construction, supply and installation services Temporary works design and management Quality assurance, testing and commissioning We welcome responses from organisations of all sizes, including SMEs, either independently or as part of a consortium, joint venture or wider supply chain arrangement. How to Apply If you are interested in this opportunity, please complete the attached FRC Structures Package Eligibility Criteria Questionnaire and return it to the Supply Chain Team by 14.10.26 at: [email protected] Please ensure all sections of the questionnaire are completed, as this will help us gain a full understanding of your organisation's capabilities, capacity and experience. The qualification questions have been designed to assess your ability to meet Balfour Beatty and Lower Thames Crossing supply chain requirements and will help inform the final packaging strategy for these works. As we are currently considering a number of packaging options, including smaller and specialist work packages, we are particularly interested in understanding the scale of work your organisation can deliver, your technical capabilities and your preferred delivery model. Additional information: The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) is a new road to better connect Essex and Kent through a tunnel beneath the River Thames. Our purpose is to drive a change in how we deliver - connecting people to jobs and businesses to opportunities, leaving a skills legacy for the local community and construction industry, all whilst restoring nature and drawing a new blueprint for low-carbon construction. Our ambition is to deliver the UK's greenest road, and to do the right thing for local communities and the environment. We can only achieve this with the support of our supply chain, and it is therefore critical that for any supplier to be successful in winning work on LTC, they must demonstrate commitments to supporting delivery of our ambitions: • Delivering the works through a 'zero emissions' solution, and not using diesel on site in any plant or machinery. • Supporting us to leave a skills legacy for the local community, by not only recruiting locally, but upskilling your workforce to enable meaningful progression into higher paid higher skilled work. • Helping to facilitate successful opportunities by providing early careers roles, as well as inspiring young people into construction through delivery of STEM engagement.

SEND Reform Investments Evaluation - Market Engagement Information

The Department for Education is considering commissioning an independent evaluation of key SEND reform investments designed to strengthen inclusion in mainstream settings and improve support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The Department is exploring a single contract comprising three interconnected evaluation components: - An overarching SEND Reform Investments Evaluation - An evaluation of Experts at Hand (EaH) - An evaluation of the Inclusive Mainstream Fund (IMF) The evaluation will assess the extent to which these investments are building workforce capability, inclusive practice, local system capacity and partnerships needed to support future phases of SEND reform. The overarching evaluation will synthesise evidence across a range of SEND reform programmes to understand whether the initial investment period is creating the conditions necessary for successful implementation of a reformed SEND system from 2029/30 onwards. The Department is interested in engaging with potential suppliers to discuss the feasibility, design and delivery of evaluations of this scale and complexity. We anticipate suppliers will require expertise in mixed-methods research, large-scale programme evaluation, and research involving children and young people with SEND, families, education settings and local authorities. Consortium and subcontracting arrangements may be appropriate where they bring together complementary expertise. We welcome engagement from all interested suppliers, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs). The project is anticipated to run from early 2027 to late 2029. A maximum indicative budget of approximately £2.5 million is anticipated. CA18282 - Provision of 111-2 Service

This opportunity is being run under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) regulations. The development of a specialist all age mental health response via 111 is a key ambition of the NHS England Long Term Plan (2021-2024), and the recovery plan for urgent and emergency care priority for 2023/24. This required all calls for support during mental health crisis to be made via 111 by the end of March 2024 and is referred to as 111-2. Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) currently deliver this service in partnership with a system partner. AWP is seeking a provider to deliver an integrated model for the NHS 111 Mental Health Crisis Response Service (111 Option 2) for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis across both adult (18 years and over) and children and young people (under 18 years) pathways. The appointed provider will be solely responsible for the delivery of the call handling element of the 111 Option 2 pathway, including access, triage and call management. AWP will retain responsibility for all clinical assessment activity and associated clinical decision-making and outcomes. The provider must be able to operate within a matrix management model, whereby all partners maintain responsibility for their own governance arrangements, professional standards and areas of specialist expertise, while working collaboratively at both strategic and operational leadership levels to deliver a seamless, integrated and high-quality service. The service forms part of the NHS England requirement that callers contacting NHS 111 and selecting the mental health option are connected directly to a dedicated mental health response service available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The service will work collaboratively with urgent and emergency care pathways, crisis services, community mental health teams, acute hospitals, ambulance services, primary care and voluntary sector partners.
