Monitoring work complements emission inventory work, whilst also providing information on the sources of POP releases into the environment. The Environment Agency is seeking to procure a service provider to provide data on the ambient levels of POPs and the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) for the TOMPs Monitoring Network from 1st January 2027.
Leicestershire County Council (as lead authority and on behalf of Rutland County Council District Council) is responsible for commissioning in the administrative areas of Leicestershire and Rutland for the provision of Individual Placement & Support (Substance Use) in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulations 2024 and the Procurement Act 2023. The service will be available to adults (aged 18 and over) receiving structured treatment for drugs and/or alcohol within Leicestershire and Rutland’s Integrated Substance Use Treatment Service. Eligible individuals will be those who are out of work or at risk from losing their employment and are entitled to work in the United Kingdom. The aim is to deliver a fully utilised IPS provision across Leicestershire & Rutland, which adheres to the IPS approach and meets the needs of individuals in treatment, including consideration of their treatment and recovery journey, their individual preferences for work and the personalised support they might need. The Provider will also need to have consideration of the rurality of the area and the barriers to accessing support and employment that may create. The purpose is to support those individuals to find and sustain meaningful paid work. IPS should also be person centred, offer pre-employment support and guidance, as well as in-work support to ensure long-term job retention. The IPS model also follows eight principles, and a 25-item fidelity scale which the Provider will be expected to meet. The Integrated Digital Platform Project is a core component of SEPA's Transformation Programme, shifting the organisation from designing change to delivering it in practice. It responds directly to our Annual Operating Plan 2026/27, which emphasises improved service delivery, better use of data, and greater efficiency in the context of increasing environmental and financial pressures. At present, SEPA operates through a fragmented landscape of systems and manual processes. Information is often held across multiple platforms, requiring re-entry and interpretation, which increases effort, reduces consistency, and limits the organisation's ability to respond effectively to growing demand. The Integrated Digital Platform Project will address these issues by creating an integrated digital platform spanning customer, regulatory and data services. This will enable workflows and data to move effectively across the organisation, reduce manual handling, and support more consistent and timely service delivery. SEPA will be using Government Commercial Agency Digital Outcomes and Specialists 7 (DOS7), Lot 2 - Digital Capability and Delivery Partners, using a single-stage competition.
Ofwat is procuring an Independent Monitor (IM) to monitor, assess and report South East Water's progress in delivering a turnaround in their operational performance and resilience. The scope of the Monitor's role is intended to be consistent with undertakings accepted by Ofwat in its enforcement decisions concerning water supply resilience and customer care during supply interruption incidents, and compliance with a licence condition requiring the company to hold two Issuer Credit Ratings that are Investment Grade Ratings. The IM will support Ofwat's monitoring of the company's delivery of remediation actions required under the undertakings, including the development and implementation of a Performance Improvement Plan. The IM will provide independent assessment of progress, governance, risk management and delivery confidence, identify material risks to compliance and delivery, and report findings to Ofwat. The IM will support proportionate, risk-based regulatory oversight, while maintaining clear accountability with the company for delivery of the required improvements. The scope is expected to evolve during the contract term in response to the company's performance, risk profile and progress against the undertakings. The monitoring approach must therefore be scalable, risk-based and proportionate. The IM will be appointed by Ofwat, act independently of the company and provide advice and recommendations to Ofwat only. The costs of the independent monitor will be met by the Company, and will not impact on customer bills.
